Joanna and I are going to Italy
to be church planters. Occasionally when I tell people we get a
blank stare or am asked the question why would you want to do that,
there are already churches in Italy. In this page I am going to
attempt to answer these two questions and a few others.
What is "the Church?"
The word "church" can refer to many things, but the
sense in which we are using it when we say "Church Planting" is the body
of believers, not a physical building where church members meet.
According to Ephesians 3 it is through the Church
that God's multi-faceted wisdom will be shown. The Church is
described as the body of Christ in Roman 12. It is through the
Church that God is working in the world today.
